Why Tyre Strategies Will Make or Break the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix
The European leg of the Formula 1 season kicks off with the Spanish Grand Prix, a pivotal race that sets the stage for a thrilling triple-header. This year, Pirelli, the official tyre supplier for F1, has opted for their three hardest dry tyre compounds – C1 as hard, C2 as medium, and C3 as soft – at the demanding Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

To cope with such demands, Pirelli's choice of the hardest compounds ensures durability and performance in Barcelona's varied and high-stress conditions. Drivers will have two sets of the hard tyre (marked white), three sets of the medium tyre (marked yellow), and eight sets of the soft tyre (marked red).
