During the 2024 Annual Shareholders Meeting, Elon Musk tantalized the crowd with mentions of three groundbreaking electric vehicles (EVs) that Tesla has in the pipeline. While official details are scant, leaks and hints provide a tantalizing glimpse into what Tesla has been cooking up. Musk's cryptic hints have set the stage for a high-stakes game of speculation and anticipation.
“Obviously, we have some new products that we’re working on under the covers. I think these are gonna be pretty special,” Musk announced. “Some of them, I think people maybe at first might think, ‘Oh, it’s not gonna be that amazing.’ But…just wait. It will be.”
A few breadcrumbs about Tesla’s upcoming models have already dropped. Although Tesla has refrained from officially releasing detailed specs or timelines, subtle cues have emerged here and there. Gigafactory Mexico is set to spearhead the production, leveraging Tesla’s revolutionary manufacturing method, the “Unboxed Process.”
According to Musk during the Q4 and FY 2023 earnings call, Giga Texas will also kick off production before passing the baton to Giga Mexico. Musk even hinted at a third manufacturing location outside North America, extending Tesla’s global footprint.
