The 2025 Polestar 2 is set to redefine the electric sedan market with extended range and fresh options. The Long Range, single motor model now boasts a 410-mile WLTP rating, whereas the base model can cover 344 miles between charges.

The compact electric sedan landscape is increasingly competitive, and Polestar's latest updates to the 2025 Polestar 2 aim to keep it ahead of the curve. The latest enhancements focus on a 70 kWh CATL battery in the Standard Range Single Motor model, moving the WLTP range from 339 miles to an impressive 344 miles.

While the Long Range Single Motor variant didn't get a new power pack, its range did improve to 410 miles, up from 406 miles. These improvements might seem incremental, but in the realm of electric vehicles, incremental updates can translate to a significant competitive edge, offering a slight range advantage over the Tesla Model 3.
Keeping up with aesthetics, Polestar has refreshed the 2’s design with new colors and updated wheel designs. Vapour, a light metallic hue, now replaces Magnesium as the default paint finish, while Storm, previously seen on the Polestar 4, supplants Thunder in the color palette.
An updated option pack structure borrows inspiration from the Polestar 4, offering a more streamlined way for customers to personalize their vehicles. Notably, the Pro Pack includes distinctive Swedish Gold stripes on the seatbelts and matching valve caps on the 20-inch wheels, ensuring the 2 stands out both inside and out.
Also among the available options is the Climate Pack, featuring a heat pump, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, and heated washer fluid nozzles. The luxurious Charcoal Nappa leather upholstery from Bridge of Weir is ethically sourced, aligning with Polestar’s commitment to sustainability.
While Europe and Canada can access the updated 2025 Polestar 2 from today, other regions including the US will have to wait until later in 2024.
