A Rocky Start, A Hopeful Future

Prema's 2024 F2 campaign had its challenges, starting with a difficult race in Bahrain. However, the team’s pace improved significantly in Jeddah and Melbourne. Antonelli managed a fourth-place finish in the Australian Feature Race, showcasing the potential of the car and team.

Bearman is equally optimistic about their partnership. 'We have a close relationship, and being teammates in F2, we're both aiming for the fastest car. So far, our relationship has been great, and we've managed to push the team forward,' he said.

The Grind of Consistency

While Antonelli has scored points in four of the last five races, Bearman's F2 season has been more inconsistent. His pole position in Jeddah was marred by being pulled away for his F1 debut, and a promising Sprint race in Australia was curtailed by a 10-second penalty.

'The pace in Australia was very strong,' Bearman noted, although his 16th place grid position in the Feature Race limited his ability to climb higher than ninth due to a technical glitch in qualifying.

'That's part of racing. You have to be prepared for these things. Now it's time to bring some consistency,' Bearman emphasized.

With both drivers eyeing a future in F1, their shared experiences and mutual support could be the secret weapon that propels them to the pinnacle of motorsport. As they continue to refine their skills and push each other forward, the motorsport world watches with keen interest.
