Say Goodbye to These Iconic Colors: Why Amplify Orange and Accelerate Yellow Are Missing from 2024 Corvettes

The day has arrived for Corvette enthusiasts who have been eagerly awaiting the chance to place their orders for the 2024 models. However, there's a caveat that could influence your choice of exterior color. Dealers have reported that while allocations were primarily for E-Rays, those eyeing the dazzling Amplify Orange or the electrifying Accelerate Yellow are out of luck for now. These two colors are currently on constraint, with major implications for any pending orders.

Those who had their hearts set on these bold hues will have to pivot to alternative colors, as Amplify Orange and Accelerate Yellow are nearing the end of their availability for the 2024 cycle. The yellow and orange shades are set to be replaced in 2025 by Sebring Orange Metallic and Competition Yellow, respectively. Hence, it’s likely we’ve seen the last of these vibrant colors for the year.

The constraint is specific to the current order cycle and potentially any future cycles for this year. Rest assured, if you already placed an order that has been accepted for production, those vehicles will honor the chosen color schemes. This news contradicts earlier reports indicating we had another 4-6 weeks to order these colors. Surprisingly, dates for final orders were set for 6/27 for Amplify Orange and 7/11 for Accelerate Yellow, but new developments suggest these timelines could accelerate.

The decision by GM may be a strategy to fast-track the new colors into the spotlight, potentially to equip the 2025 captured test fleet cars (CTFs) with the upcoming hues. Enthusiasts are waiting with bated breath, as seeing these new colors on actual vehicles could significantly influence their buying decisions.
