For years, BMW's CS badge has elevated its coupe and sedan lineup, but never before has a CS-wagon graced the roads. Come 2025, that changes with the introduction of the eagerly awaited M3 CS Touring. Captivating enthusiasts worldwide, a recent video captured the prototype in action at the notorious Nürburgring, showcasing its prowess with glowing brake discs – a testament to the intensity of its tests.
The test mule, though heavily camouflaged, reveals plenty. Upfront, the disguise can't mask the upcoming matrix LED headlights, which join the M3 and M4 lineup in 2025. Unlike last year's M3 CS, which flaunted laser headlights, the latest iteration adopts the newer tech. Meanwhile, the rear remains untouched, retaining its original tail light design and not adopting the laser taillights from the M4.

Borrowing elements from its sedan and coupe siblings, the M3 CS Touring is laden with carbon fiber components, promising both aesthetic and performance enhancements. BMW isn't skimping on special touches – expect unique paint options distinct from the G80 and G82 models. The lightweight wheels and carbon bucket seats, now standard, compound its sporty nature, while the automatic transmission paired with xDrive ensures optimum power delivery.
Under the hood, the M3 CS Touring houses the robust S58 engine, churning out an impressive 543 horsepower, aligning it with the CS sedan and coupe. This grants the wagon a notable 20 hp boost over the regular M3 Touring, which itself just received a power upgrade to 523 hp for the 2025 model year. Originally making 503 hp, the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six showcases BMW's relentless pursuit of performance.
Though enthusiasts in the United States may sigh in disappointment, as the M3 CS Touring, like its standard G81 counterpart, won't be available stateside. Production is anticipated to be a limited-run affair, with fewer than 1,000 units planned over a 12-month span. Set to commence in March 2025, the world premiere is slated for early next year, setting the stage for what promises to be a significant release in the automotive calendar.
